The educational and selfdevelopment courses as a instrument for better use in the labor market for women in paternal leave

The aim of this work is to describe and analyze the situation of women on maternity and parental leave. The theoretical part deals with the state family policy and the position of women in the labor market. The negative effects on women in the social and economic field are presented. One of the options for assistance is educational and self-development courses for women caring for young children. The courses help women increase their self-confidence, remove social isolation and return to work after parental leave. The research part verifies the usefulness of Attavena courses for their graduates. Quantitative research is used as a research method by means of a questionnaire survey in which 106 women have participated.

The aim of this diploma thesis is to analyse in detail the issue of the position of women in top management positions in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis focus mainly on the legislation and mapping of the current situation of the issue. The thesis also examines gender, gender identity and gender mainstreaming, all of those terms are defined in detail in the text. The first part of the theses builds an important theoretical base and explains terms such as glass ceiling and the mentioned gender mainstreaming. The work also investigates the issue of equal pay and employment of women. The practical part of the thesis contains its own qualitative research that was done with specific top managers in the selected company. The aim of the practical part is to compare the theoretical concepts of the position of women on the Czech labour market with the situation in a particular Czech company. During the research are investigated both opinions of top managers on the nationwide situation as well as the situation within the company. Based on the research results, the research questions are answered and recommendations for improving the current position of women on the Czech labour market are formulated.

The diploma thesis is focused on analysis of approaches to the gender management within chosen company. The theoretical part provides complex literature overview on issues such as gender management, gender equality as well as current approaches in gender management. Furthermore, the research results are focused on the company as well as on society. Recommendations for the company are mostly focused on improving current state of women employed on part time contract via mandatory paternal leave, maintain the relationship with women on maternal leave by newsletters or company magazine and referral programme on technical positions. In order to improve position of women within society, is important to change and support belief in one-self, improve possibilities of external service for housing, eliminate gender stereotypes and improve awareness of women's needs within her career.

The objective of this thesis is to analyze and verify the existence of causality between employment rate, unemployment rate as independent variable and fertility rate as dependent variable. Two stated hypotheses are being verified within this thesis. First of them says that by decreasing employment rate also the fertility rate decreases. Second says that decreasing unemployment rate has an impact on growth of fertility rate. The final part of essay deals with today´s often discussed concept of work life balance which in many countries supports high economical activity of women and higher fertility simultaneously. It draws attention on positives of alternative work arrangements as well as on negatives and deficits which goes together with its practicing. In the end of the thesis different possibilities of effective work life balance management are suggested.

This bachelor thesis is focused on issues with women in the labor market. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first part, key expressions such as the labor market, unemployment and national policy of employment are explained. In this part, we will also analyze a group of women in the labor market in the Czech Re-public including characteristics of measurements regarding work-family harmoni-zation. The second part deals with chosen Vysocina region. In the region, an analysis of the labor market was done which aimed at the positions of women.
Unemoployment of disadvantaged groups in the labor market in the Czech Republic

This thesis focuses on the unemployment of disadvantaged groups in the labor market. These groups are highlighted since they consist of individuals who are being hit by the unemployment the most. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the status/position of these groups in the Czech labor market and the comparison with other members of the European Union. In the analysis there were used the secondary data and the time series. In conclusion there is a list of several recommendations which could be used by the subjects of the labor market in order to improve the current situation of disadvantaged groups.

The thesis analyses the situation of women in management and their lower participation in leading positions. Theoretical part contains fundamental resources and explains the main concept of this issue, e.g. gender, gender roles or discrimination of women in the labour market. Practical part contains analysis of position of women in the labour market, differences between men and women in leadership and research dedicated to this problematics. The cope part of the thesis has been formed based on the research results, which have been obtained from respondents via interviews. Surveyed experiences and opinions of the female managers are included to underline the problematics. Important part of the study is also related to further difficulties during the work proces as well as work-life balance in detail.. The main goal of the thesis is to confirm or to negate the stated hypothesis, answer particular questions and come to a conclusion on how the private sector as well as loacal government could positively affect this issue.

The aim of the thesis was to describe this topic in a complex way, explain problems that are related to women's career and also name reasons for companies why they should pay attention to it. The thesis includes a case study of an international employer in Slovak republic that describes the company's attitude to the topic.
Work-Life Balance in an international context

Work-life balance is often a discussed topic in most industrialized countries. Many employees are dissatisfied with working hours, high labor intensity and stress at work. A large number of employees would prefer flexible working hours, part-time, which would lead to better opportunities for reconciling work and family life. Individuals are trying to find a balance between professional and personal interests, some are even forced to decide whether to give priority to family and private life. Thesis deals with different work-life balance policies and programs, problems of gender differences and equal opportunities. It examines how the Czech Republic is able to juggle family and work life. It focuses on the status of women in the labour market, including historical context, the individual programs and policies that promote the harmonization of personal and professional sphere. The practical part analyzed the situation in selected countries and the paper is also engaged in various international companies in which I used structured interviews with HR representatives and other staff examined the possibility of work-life balance and the differences between the situation in the Czech affiliates and the mother country.
